Did you know that much like your teeth need daily brushing and flossing to maintain good health and keep plaque from building up your connective tissue and muscles require the same kind of daily maintenance?

We’ve written about it in the past.  See our blog Fascia, Stretching & Postural Therapy Get Rid of the Fuzz to learn more.

Your muscles develop tightness and knots overtime due to compromised motor patterns, that if left unattended to lead to lack of flexibility and mobility of joints.  Foam rolling helps your body unwind tightness and tenderness that builds up in muscles over time.

A regular practice of SMR (self myofascial release) exercises on foam roller helps you hydrate your connective tissue and get rid of unwanted tension in muscles so you can:

  • enhance athletic performance
  • recover from exercise workouts faster
  • expedite injury recovery
  • gain mobility/increase joint range of motion
  • get rid of aches and pains!!

DPreachuk_Web-3Please join Corrective Exercise and Posture Alignment Specialist Deb Preachuk from Pain Free Posture MN, for a hands-on interactive Foam Roller Workshop at Crossfit Templar.

Deb will teach each you how to use the Foam Roller to take care of your body with (SMR) self myofascial release and stretching.  By attending this workshop, you will learn simple and easy to do SMR exercises on the foam roller to improve your health, recovery and function.

Learn how to utilize a foam roller to move more efficiently, increase overall mobility, isolate “trigger/tension holding spots”, and reduce the aches and pains associated with prolonged periods of sitting and exercise.  We will start with the 6 key areas for optimal performance, and progress to intermediate techniques depending on the needs of class participants.
