Everyone begins their CrossFit journey by attending 3 sessions of Elements classes. These classes are designed to get you up to speed and on the right track in CrossFit by going over 9 fundamental movements–the basic air squat, front squat, over head squat, shoulder press, push press, push jerk, deadlift, sumo deadlift high pull, and the med ball clean. In addition, we also discuss the importance of nutrition and how it is crucial to your health–both mentally and physically, as well as it being required for optimum athletic performance. We hold the view that proper nutrition maximizes human performance rather than aiding in sustenance alone.
1-On-1 Elements Option:
We offer a 1-On-1 Elements option if you want/need the extra attention or just prefer to do the sessions privately. This is where you will work with your instructor to build your general fitness base and gain familiarity with our movements. You will find the greatest success with 1-On-1 Elements if your needs or goals include:
weight loss and improved body composition
you have generally been sedentary
you are new to exercise
you are referred to us by a physician, physical therapist or chiropractor
you have significant health or orthopedic issues
Your instructor will tailor workouts specifically for your current fitness level and progress you at the proper pace based on your specific needs. Once Elements have been completed you will then be instructed on the next steps, which generally include MindBody registration, class schedules, website information and much, much more.
