CrossFit Philosophy:

The two most important things to me about CrossFit are the excitement and the camaraderie. It reminds me a lot of gym class or playing on the playground as a kid but it is more focused in order to achieve top physical fitness. It never gets old and there is an immense amount of variety in the exercise routines. There’s rope climbing, gymnastics, tire flipping, running, weight lifting, kettlebells and numerous other fun and safe exercises. I also love the camaraderie CrossFit builds. Routines are typically done in a group setting where they are timed and repetitions are counted so you can compete with your fellow CrossFitters. The friendly (sometimes intense) competition builds strong friendships and pushes everyone harder.

Coaching Philosophy:
All too often we hear people say that they aren’t good enough or that they will never be able to do something in CrossFit. This way of thinking will be an immediate set back for you and severely limit your true potential. After all, has anyone ever achieved anything great without some hard work, sacrifice and perhaps a few wrong turns? At CrossFit Templar we strive to provide athletes with the highest quality of coaching and our goal is to get you in the best physical and mental shape of your life. We will give you the tools, cues and resources, but it is up to you to put in the time. There will be blood, sweat and tears, but know that we are all a family and that we’re here in support of you. Also my advice to everyone out there–don’t forget to laugh and have fun and remember that you are stronger than you were the day before!

It is inspiring and intoxicating.

The beauty of CrossFit is that it is 100% scalable so every workout can be modified making each WOD possible, regardless of skill level. When you become a member of the CrossFit community it makes you want to spread the word to everyone you know.  I have set out to mentor our athletes to establish and attain their goals, making each and every person a better athlete. I believe Crossfit is a lifestyle, not just a “fad” or “diet” and my ultimate goal is that everyone goes home feeling better about themselves and the progress that’s been made. I want each and every athlete to accomplish something that they never thought possible! Just knowing and seeing the dramatic changes in myself, my family, and the athletes in our gym have made me a firm believer for life!

Coaching Philosophy:

What I love about Crossfit is what you put into it, is what you’re going to get out of it. Each WOD is scalable to fit anyone’s fitness level. So, we get a great combo of Crossfit vets to beginners working out together. Everyone helping and pushing each other, creates a community of comradely and friendship that you don’t get just anywhere. When you walk in the gym, give it 110%, and when it comes to each exercise, remember quality over quantity will yield the best results. Above all have fun, and finish strong.
